Sunday Express Article

A lovely lady called Camilla Tominey (Royal Editor at the Sunday Express), agreed for me to create a coat of arms with a twist for her in July 2011. She kindly mentioned my work in her column in The Sunday Express and here it is, set out below.

The Royal Orthopaedic Hospital Birmingham

Artwork for new wing

A series of 12 large scale wall hung wooden laser etchings were created depicting the history of the hospital and the personalities of current staff/patients using a heraldic, coat of arms approach. All of the designs were presented anomalously within bespoke glass frames.

The Socialite Series

A Collection of 8 heraldic designs created for friends old and new. Each design tells its own story, translating the memories we have shared through socialising, although it is clear the laser etchings also capture and highlight the personalities of each individual.
